This is a great project I worked on for the nice Folks of Glassworks Amsterdam. A closeUp-Fabric-Spot, (almost) Full CG, directed by Rüdiger Kaltenhäuser. I worked on the shot where we leave the Shirt for the first time and the mist rises through the fabric.
The Glassworks page reports:
David Beckham is starring in Adidas’ new spot for their ice-cool Climachill range. Directed by Glassworks Amsterdam’s Head of 3D Rudiger Kaltenhauser, it features super-macro, photo-real CG and impossible camera moves.
Working closely with Amsterdam-based agency Meanwhile, our brief was to create an animated film that would sit alongside their frosty Climachill campaign, focusing on the product’s cooling functionality.
With a super tight deadline, Rudiger wanted to establish the metaphor of ice and frost in an abstract world, creating a rollercoaster ride of how the product works – it uses flat yarn woven with Titanium and aluminium cooling spheres to provide an instant chilling sensation, aiding athlete’s performances by lowering their body temperatures in warm conditions.
